My favorite analogy is that relationships are like a two person rowboat. Most all relationships-friendships, romantic relationships, and all the things in between.
One person can’t do all the rowing. By the same token, if you want to continue traveling in the same direction, there is one important thing that must occur.
Communication. It’s vital.
If you don’t know where your rowboat is going, or if you don’t know where your other oarsman wants to go, it’s pointless to row, isn’t it?
It’s a waste of time and energy. Humans have precious little time, and limited energy as it is.
